Mason Youth Organization is a non-profit program established in 1983 to develop, organize, and promote recreational baseball and softball activities for the youth of Mason, Ohio.  MYO provides all participants the opportunity to practice and play the sport in local parks and supplies all necessary equipment.  As Mason has grown, so has MYO with almost 1,800 youth playing on more than 150 baseball and softball teams.  In 2009, MYO introduced an Opening Day Celebration, affiliated our boys’ Major League division (9-16 yr. olds) with Little League International, started a boys’ Friday Night Pick-Up Game League (9-12 yr. old) and added an 8U Girls Fastpitch division.  New to MYO in 2010, will be affiliating our boys’ Minor League program (7-8 yr. olds) division with Little League International, realigning our softball program, adding spring skills day camps to promote player agility improvement (in pitching, catching, fielding, hitting and base running) and player evaluations for Major League baseball (9-16 yr. olds) players.

Announcements

***MYO LITTLE LEAGUE PLAYER EVALUATIONS ARE COMPLETE***
A special thanks to all of the players, parents, coaches, board members and volunteers who
helped to make the evaluations a success.  Good luck on the field this season!

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!
Please contact the commissioner of the league into which you want to register to see if there is availability.  Commissioner emails are found on the Registration page.

Coaches, umpires and sponsors are also able to register on-line at this time.

Please note, the MYO Registration flyers sent home with Mason Heights, Western Row and Mason Intermediate School students have the wrong year listed on the bottom of the page, to assist parents in determining the correct league, based on the player’s age.  It should have stated:   * Girl’s age as of December 31, 2009 - aligned with USSSA and  Boy's age as of May 1, 2010 - aligned with AABC, Knothole & Little League.  The information is correct on the mail-in and on-line registration forms.

MANY AREA BASEBALL & SOFTBALL CAMPS ARE AVAILABLE

Please visit the MYO CAMPS link to learn more about baseball and softball camps and clinics occurring over the next few months.  Although MYO is not associated with any of these programs, they do offer players the opportunity to hone their skills in the off season.

MYO NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
MYO is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.  We depend on the support of our player families to make the program run effectively.  New to parents on the 2010 Player Registration form will be a request to sign up to assist in one activity during the season.  Options will include: helping with the Opening Day Celebration, assist with Player Evaluations or a Skills Day Camp, help with Saturday morning field prep, work on equipment pick-up/drop-off day, sponsor a team(s) or coach.  We are also looking for volunteer field umpires for our Little League baseball teams, which would be a season long commitment.  Please contact the MYO President if you have any questions.
