Mason Little League

About Mason Little League

Tee-ball is offered for boys & girls 3-4 years old.  Boys 5-6 years old play in the 6U division, which is a combination of machine pitch and hitting off a tee.  Seven year olds then play in 8UA where it is all machine pitch.  Eight year olds play in 8UAA where it is half machine pitch and half kids pitch.

Then starting at 10U it is all traditional kids pitch Little League Baseball.

The 8U divisions and older all have a post-season tournament in the middle of June followed by an internal All-Star game, which is usually the third or fourth weekend of June.

Near the end of the Spring season, players in the 8U divisions and older are eligible to try out for the D9 All-Stars to compete in the Little League Tournament.

Spring Season: early April - mid June, Registration: November - January
Fall Season: late August - early October, Registration: June - July

For players seeking a higher level of competition, more practices and games, including tournaments, check out MYO's Aftershock program.

MYO also offers baseball for kids with disabilities and developmental challengers.  See our Challenger league for more info.

2020 Spring Baseball

Welcome to the 2020 Mason Little League (MLL), Challenger League, and  Mason Youth Softball Spring Baseball Registration

Registration is now OPEN for all players wishing to participate in Mason Little League (MLL), Challenger and Mason Youth Softball for the Spring 2020 Season!

We look forward to providing a fun and safe baseball experience for kids ages 4 through 16 in the Mason and Deerfield area.  MYO continues to grow and provide a place for all ages to play baseball and softball at various stages of development.

All divisions are open and parents please note any division can be closed at any time based on the number of coaches at that particular level.  As an all-volunteer organization, we are dependent on your help to make the season a success.  Please consider volunteering to coach a team.  Team size and registration availability are dependent on having enough coaches at every age level.

USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS:  I do hereby grant and give the Mason Youth Organization (MYO)  leagues, Mason Youth Softball, Mason Little League, Mason Challenger Little League and Mason Aftershock, the right to use photographs or images of my son/daughter for whom I am signing with or without her name, both single and in conjunction with other persons or objects for any and all purposes including, but not limited to, private or public presentations, advertising, publicity and promotion relating hereto.  I warrant that I have the right to authorize the foregoing uses and do hereby agree to hold the Mason Youth Organization and any of its leagues as noted prior harmless of and from any and all liability of whatever nature, which may arise out of result of such uses.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, BY SIGNING YOU WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.

As you go through the on-line registration process, you will be asked if you read the PCA/MYO Parent Pledge.  That pledge is below:

1.  I pledge to get my child to practice and games on time.  I understand that it can be embarrassing for my child to be late and that I may be putting him/her at risk by not providing adequate time for warm up.  I will be on time to pick up my child from all games and practices.  This shows respect for the coach, and it tells my child that he or she is my top priority.

2.  I pledge to use positive encouragement to fill my child's Emotional Tank because athletes do their best when their "Emotional Tank" is full.  I understand that fewer than 1% of youth sports participants receive college scholarships and that the top three reason kids play sports are a) to have fun, b) to make new friends, and c) to learn new skills.  I understand that the game is for the players, and I will keep sports in the proper perspective.

3.  I pledge to reinforce the ELM Tree of Mastery with my child (E for Effort, L for Learning and M for bouncing back from Mistakes).  Winners are people who make maximum effort, continue to learn and improve, and do not let mistakes, or fear of making mistakes, stop them.  I understand that mistakes are an inevitable part of any game and that people learn from their mistakes.  I understand that children are born with different abilities and that the true measure is not how my child compares to others but how he/she is doing in comparison to his/her best self.

4.  I pledge to "Honor the Game."  I understand the importance of setting a good example for my child.  No matter what others may do, I will show respect for all involved in the game including coaches, players, opponents, opposing fans, and officials.  I understand that officials make mistakes.  If the official makes a "bad" call against my team, I will Honor the Game and be silent!

5.  I pledge to refrain from yelling out instructions to my child.  I understand that this is the coach's job.  I understand that games are chaotic times for children trying to deal with fast-paced action and respond to opponents, teammates and coaches.  I will limit my comments during the game to encouraging my child and other players for both teams.

6.  I pledge to refrain from making negative comments about my child's coach in my child's presence.  I understand that this plants a negative seed in my child's head that can negatively influence my child's motivation and overall experience.I will honor the CA/MYO Parent Pledge in my words and actions.

We look forward to an exciting Spring 2020 Season!

Thanks,

Mike Elegeer, MYO President
Rob Baker, Mason Little League President
Eric Harmon, Mason Youth Softball President
Susan Murdock, Challenger League President
