With the exception of the paid umpires, MYO is an all volunteer organization and we rely on people in the community to donate their time to help out. There are several ways you can help!  Here are some of the ways in which your help would be greatly appreciated!  If you think you might be interested in any of these, please e-mail one of the board members or attend a board meeting.  

• Become a Coach:  coaching young athletes can be a very rewarding experience and a great way to make a positive impact on their lives.  We've created a First Time Coach FAQ page, including links to practice plans, to help new baseball coaches get started, but a lot of the content would apply to coaches in any of the MYO programs.  
• Become a Sponsor:  Sponsoring a team is a great way to spread awareness of a company's brand and services, make a positive contribution to the community, and helps keep costs of youth sports low.  See our Sponsor page for more info and the latest sponsorship form.  
• Join the Board: if you can spare just a few hours one evening per month, then you could join the MYO board or the board of one of the MYO programs.  The minimum expectation for board members is to attend the monthly board meetings to help make decisions about the operations and direction of the organization.  If you aren't able to commit to any specific board position, you are still encouraged to attend these meetings, as they are open to the public.  See the Board Members page for a listing of board positions and meeting times.  
• Helping Kids with Special Needs:  our Challenger league has multiple ways you can help make the game of baseball a fun and safe option for kids with disabilities and developmental challenges.  Check out the Challenger Volunteer Opportunities for more details.  

Again, MYO is an all volunteer organization.  The more volunteers we have, the less work any one individual has to commit to.  We hope you'll consider joining us to help make this a successful organization for the kids for many years to come!
