Residency Requirements

Mason Youth Softball is open to all players that meet the following criteria of residency.  Proof of Residence may be required by the MYS Board. 

• Mason Resident¹ - Proof of Residence (tax, water, gas or electric bill)
• Residency within Mason School District boundaries (ex: Deerfield Township Residents whose residence is within Mason School District boundaries) NOTE: Some Deerfield Township residents fall within the Kings School District and would not meet MYS Residency Requirements.
• Attend a school within Mason School District boundaries - Proof of Residence (tax, water, gas or electric bill) or Report Card for non-Mason School District schools (ex: St. Susanna or Royalmont).
• Child of a parent who is a teacher employed by Mason School District – proof of employment along with job title

Note:  Any exception to the Residency requirements must be approved by the MYS Board.

¹The definition of “Mason resident” is living within the corporate limits of the City of Mason. (Your zip code is not an indicator of residency. Many non-city residents have a 45040 Mason zip code and some Mason residents have a zip code that is not 45040.)
