MYO 2020 Spring Season Cancellations due to COVID-19


Due to the limitations on social interactions that are present now and into the foreseeable future, along with the direction of Ohio governmental and public health authorities, and in consultation with the City of Mason and Deerfield Township, Mason Youth Organization (MYO) has made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel our 2020 Little League, Softball and Challenger seasons.

This is a heartbreaking decision for everyone at MYO, but more so for our athletes and families who look forward to starting their spring and early summer playing ball. We appreciate your patience and support as we have navigated this uncertain time. Though we cannot take the field this summer, please take advantage of the nicer weather by going outside and staying active. MYO will continue to evaluate the situation and look toward a possible Fall season and Challenger clinic.

NEXT STEPS 
Prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, MYO was already preparing for the start of the season in early December 2019. Uniforms were purchased, and investments were made in winter clinics and field improvements. As a small, non-profit, all-volunteer organization, the season cancellation does have a financial impact on our programs. We’re doing our best to bear as much of that financial burden as possible. However, we’re unable to bear all of it, so we appreciate your partnership.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
You have until Sunday, May 17, 2020 to select one of the following options. Please see these instructions for updating your registration info to make your selection.  
  1. PRO-RATED REFUND. You may choose to have a 75% refund of your season registration. This will be credited to your credit card on file.
  2. DONATION. If your family is in a financial position to support MYO, you may choose to donate your 2020 registration. Please consider this option. MYO is a 501c3. Your support will help cover many of the costs we have already incurred.

If you DO NOT go to your registration and select, we will consider your 2020 Spring fees a donation to MYO.

Aftershock and Meteors will be receiving additional information from your league coordinators.
